Random Foto - Genevieve Morton

Genevieve Morton
It took me a while to find Genevieve Morton.

Recently, I've been steering away from pictures of augmented women. Of course, airbrushing is a reality, but when it's done, it's done for YOU.

Back to the lady. Genevieve is from South Africa. She has scored major success as a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, standing in the shadow of Kate Upton.

If you click the image, you'll see the complete image.

Have a great April!

Banning Easter

Lydia Davenport: "Thou shalt be diverse!"
Fasten your seat belts, I'm going to take you on a quick trip to Asininity. Yeah, it's a small town in Alabama which, til now has been called, "Madison, Alabama."
I bet the Madison School Board members are real proud of their Heritage Elementary School Principal, Lydia Davenport!
You see, Dr. Davenport has banned EASTER at her school. Yes, EASTER, the word. This has been done in the name of religious diversity.

Personal note - I'm not sure how you can be diverse if you ban the things of which you are being diverse. If I were an educated idiot; or a social dictator; or a weirdo, in general; I might understand. But, you don't know if I have a PhD or a Masters, or a Bachelors degree or if I'm a High School dropout, do you? I don't wear my educational achievements on my sleeve. It's not necessary.

In Madison, the kids are still going to hunt for eggs. They, of course, won't be called EASTER eggs. They will have a bunny, it won't be called an EASTER bunny.

Another personal note - I went to a Catholic elementary school. We did not have an EASTER egg hunt. We sure as hell didn't have an EASTER bunny. Instead we were taught about the meaning of EASTER

You see, Dr. Davenport, religiously, EASTER has nothing to do with eggs nor bunnies.

You must love your power. It must make you feel BIG and important!
NO,...................................................It's making you look real stupid!

Judge Joe "Retires"

Judge Joe Brown
The world is slowly changing...and not necessarily for the better. I found out today that Judge Joe Brown is retiring.

He's been a "TV Judge" for 15 years, but I've only been watching for the past two or three seasons.  I like the show.  Judge Joe is the #2 rated "TV Judge" show. He trails Judge Judy

Well, the secret behind Judge Joe's retirement is the fact that CBS is canceling his show. CBS is the parent company of the show's distributor. Judge Joe was pulling down an estimated $20 million per year. The ratings slipped in February. (This is important.)  When national ratings fall, commercial revenue also falls. The show's producers and Judge Joe couldn't agree on a new, lower salary. So, Judge Joe is retiring.

Oh, about those commercials: My wife and I watch this show, everyday. It airs during the midday - while we are working.   We record it and watch when we can....zapping past the commercials! I suspect that this is how most of Judge Joe's employed viewers watch his show.

Ironic - Do TV ratings really matter?  Busy people (with disposable income) watch TV on their DVR without the commercials.

Chelsea - Livin' Large

Be it ever so humble....
I heard about this and I thought I'd share it with you. Former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and her husband, Marc Mezvinsky, are buying a condo in New York City. It's very nice. How nice? It's 5,000 square feet and has 6 1/2 bathrooms and four bedrooms. There's a view of Madison Square Park. Price tag? $10.5 million.

It's funny.  I can relate to four bedrooms.  5,000 square feet? Yes, I can understand the size.  6 1/2 baths?  Why would anyone need (or want) 6 1/2 baths?

I guess that if I were filthy rich, I'd understand.

Random Fotos Sha Rizel and/or Katya Sidorenko

Katya Sidorenko
Sha Rizel

get confused easily. I wanted to post a picture of Sha Rizel. Well, I found a few small ones and when I searched for some larger ones, a different name popped up - Katya Sidorenko.
So, if I'm not going nuts, what you see, here, is the same lady in two different pictures with two different names. She (or they) is/are from Eastern Europe where they not only talk differently than we do, sometimes they go running around with several names.

I hope she's not schizoid.
In either case, click an image and you'll get a better view.
BTW, all natural material is featured in these pictures.

Have a nice day.

Fred & Barney for Winston

Many of you have never seen a cigarette commercial on TV. They used to be on all the time. I stumbled across this one - which I found to be interesting. Something like this could never happen, today, but in the 1960s it was quite common on American TV...

Zanjeer - Hero Dog

Zanjeer - Hero Dog
Zanjeer was a Labrador Retriever that lived in Mumbai, India in the 1990s.

He worked for the Police as a "Detection Dog." After reading his story, I'd say that Zanjeer was the Babe Ruth of Detection dogs, having saved thousands of lives in India.

Not including his contributions during the 1993 attacks, Zanjeer helped to recover 11 military bombs, 57 country-made bombs, 175 petrol bombs, and 600 detonators. In addition, during the time of the March 1993 Mumbai bombings, Zanjeer helped to avert at least three more attacks in Bombay, Mumbra, and Thane. The first incident happened on March 15, 1993 when Zanjeer alerted his handlers to a scooter bomb that contained RDX explosives and gelatin sticks. He was then called to the scene of ten unclaimed suitcases outside of the Siddhivinayak Temple where he detected three AK-56 rifles, five 9-mm pistols, and 200 grenades marked "Arges 69". Days later, Zanjeer investigated two suitcases at the Zaveri Bazaar that contained nine AK-56 rifles.

Zanjeer died of bone cancer in November of 2000, at age 8.

He was buried with full honors.

Random Foto - Alix Bromley

Alix Bromley
Here's a quick random photo for you to ponder.

Her name is Alix Bromley or Alx Boop. She's had pictures on the Internet for at least 5 years. They are mostly party pictures taken with cheap cellphone cameras, showing her natural assets: bright smile, alluring eyes, etc.

It is believed that she resides in in England.

Pam's House For Sale

Pamela Anderson's House
Pamela Anderson has put her Malibu home on the market. She's asking $7.7 million. That sounds like a lot of money, but it does have three bedrooms.

She bought the place in 2000 for a mere $1.8 million. Since then, she's made the place eco friendly with a teal decor and solar panels.

You may remember that not too long ago, she was trying to rent it out for $75,000 a month.

The home is pictured, here. Reminds me a lot of my place, only I've got a bigger yard.....and a full basement.

New Pepsi Bottle

New Pepsi Bottle
The bottle is new. The soda is not.

After losing 4% of its market share to Coca Cola, Pepsi is making some changes. The new bottle has a smaller label. It's also easier to grip. This is important because women have smaller hands and women buy the stuff more than men. (The guys are busy playing video games.)

They should make sure that the thing fits into a car's cup holder!  It probably does, but if it doesn't, they should go back to the "drawing board!"

They say that it will take a year or two to make a complete conversion to the new product.

My suggestion to Pepsi is "product placement!" They hired Beyonce to be their spokesperson. Well, guess what, not everybody likes Beyonce! You can save money by spreading out your ad campaign to include younger and newer singers, athletes, actors, etc.

 Just an idea....

Replacing Trebek

AlexTrebek - Host of Jeopardy
His job on Jeopardy is not in jeopardy, but Sony is quietly looking for a person to replace Alex Trebek. You see, Alex is 72 years old and has had a couple of heart attacks. His current contract runs out at the beginning of the 2016 season. At 75, it's unlikely that he'll want to continue on the show.

So who's worthy of following an almost 30 year tradition? Matt Lauer? his name has been mentioned. The NBC Today Show has been slipping in the ratings and he may "become available" - soon. My prediction is that they will replace Trebek after one more season, instead of waiting for his contract to run out. They will pick a middle aged white male, who has had success in large market TV and may not be known nationally.

Alex makes more than $50,000 for each episode of Jeopardy. With that kind of money, Sony can get almost anybody they want.

Tunisian Rapper Gets 2 Year Sentence

Weld el 15 gets 2 years in the slammer
Weld EL 15 is on the run. He recorded a rap song where he called local Tunisian Police, "Dogs!"

Not really a good idea. You see, while he looks like a decent kid, he was sentenced, in absentia to two years in prison.

Rap music is not my thing. I must admit that it sounds slightly cool when voiced in a foreign language and the white girl, wearing a NY Yankee cap, in the background, making a variety of nasty gestures, is a nice touch.

What is at stake, here, is the principle of Freedom of Speech or Freedom of Expression. The local government is being led by Tunisia's moderate Islamist Ennahda party.

I have found that freedom to do anything is a wonderful thing. If you don't use common sense, if you publicly embarrass the powerful....then, as we say, within polite company, your feces is weak!

As a bonus, I have included the "music" video in question.  I suspect that it will be removed from YouTube soon, so enjoy it while you can!

Punxsutawney Phil Indicted

Mike Gmoser - under worked prosecutor
Let's face it. Punxsutawney Phil blew it, this year. On the morning of February 2 (ground hog's day) Phil came out of his hole and didn't see his shadow. It was then declared that we would have an early spring.

Nope.

Temperatures in the Midwest during the past 46 days have been mostly colder than normal. So, an under worked prosecutor in Ohio, named Mike Gmoser, decides to issue a mock indictment of Puxsutawney Phil. Charging him with fraud or who-the-hell-cares-whatever.

Two problems, here:
Gmoser is in Ohio and Phil is in Pennsylvania. Phil is outside Gmoser's jurisdiction.
Second, Phil never said that we would have an early spring. All he did was emerge from his burrow. The weird guys with the top hats are the guilty parties.

Also worthy of note is the amount of trust that a certain prosecutor gives to the weather forecasting ability of a rodent.

This girl is hot! Emily Ratajkowski is a 20 year old, good Brooklyn, New York girl who is hitting the big time!
She's in a Maroon 5 music video that debuts this month. She has also had some prime modeling gigs.

And who could forget this epic commercial, below, for the Carl's Jr./Hardees Memphis BBQ Burger, co-staring the equally talented Sara Underwood!

Twitter Turns 7

Twitter Logo
Happy Birthday to Twitter!  It turns seven years old on Thursday, March 21st.

More than 200 million people use the free service. I use it. I like it.  If you can convey a thought within a limited space, it's great.  It's also useful in supplying links to web pages or to blog stories.

My problem is that, just like Facebook, nobody seems to know how to use it correctly.

Anyway, happy birthday to the acquired taste which we know as Twitter.

Senator Ashley Judd?

Ashley Judd
This could happen! Ashley Judd wants to be a U.S. Senator from Kentucky. The 44 year old actress is said to be eyeing the seat held by Mitch McConnell. McConnell is the Minority Leader in the Senate. He's 71 and has been a U.S. Senator since 1985. He may or may not be a political genius, but 28+ years in the Senate?   That's more than enough!

Is Ashley Judd right for the job? She makes no secret that she is an avid Obama supporter.  She's a lot prettier than ol' Mitch.  What else? She's never held public office. And, there's what I like to call The Hollywood Weirdo Factor. She and her husband, race car driver, Dario Franchitti recently announced their decision to end their 11 year marriage. That's not weird, in itself, but she told The Sunday Mail that she decided not to give birth to any children, saying, "It's unconscionable to breed, with the number of children who are starving to death in impoverished countries."  (She forgot to say that it can also damage your figure.)

So, all you people who have kids, did you know that you have been behaving in an unconscionable manner?  Shame on you!

We better vote this lady into office to find out how else we've been screwing up!

Random Foto - Elisabetta Gregoraci

Elisabetta Gregoraci
Today's Random Foto is Elisabetta Gregoraci. She is fairly well known in Italy as a fashion model and TV personality.

She was born in southern Italy and is married to Flavio Briatore, a former Formula One manager who is 29 years older than she, has a ton of money and a few criminal convictions.   Elisabetta and Flavio have a son. Briatore also had a child with Heidi Klum...back when he was "holding hands" with her.

Elisabetta was a dancer on Italian TV and became famous doing Wonderbra commercials. She then became hostess of Buona Domenica. (Good Sunday)

Saint Patrick's Day 2013

Can you hear it? Creedence Clearwater Revival singing "Green River?"
Today is Saint Patrick's Day. It is celebrated by Irish people, all over the world. It's also celebrated by people who, once a year, pretend they are Irish. That's OK. Wishing to be something that you're not is a compliment to whatever that something is!

The picture? It is the Chicago River, Chicago, Illinois, USA. Every year the river is dyed green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. The view is looking east, in the direction of Lake Michigan. (Click the image for a better view.)

So, raise a glass of your favorite refreshment and toast the Irish and St. Patrick!

Queen, Freddie & The Rhapsody

It's Saturday night and I am watching music videos on You Tube.

Mostly, I like "live" versions of classic rock - like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody.......

How Americans Live Today

This short film is said to be a North Korean view of modern life in the United States. This may or may not be the case. I have no way of knowing if it is a North Korean propaganda piece. It is over dubbed in English and is possibly narrated in Korean. Some of the pictures are not of the United States. This tells me that this is a low budget "shot" at the USA.

I'd also like to point out that there are many places in the USA where it rarely snows.  Many birds fly south for the winter.  The birds that we eat are mostly chicken and turkey.

First, an apology. This person wants attention and I am giving him what he wants.

I apologize because, frankly, I want attention for the blog. That's right! I am using this guy. I am exploiting him!

Shame on me!

Yes! Here we have a little lady who can do it all! She's a dancer, an artist, a writer, a photographer, a student, a teacher, and a model.

Cora Deitz is based in North Carolina and lists her eye color as blue, green and gray. That's right, a variety of eye colors - brilliant!

Some of her recent work includes a music video with Shaggy and Tamer Hosny, a full length feature film, several national TV commercials, several book and magazine covers, and a billboard for the ADDY Awards.

White House Tours

White House
I n an effort to save money, someone in the government has decided to suspend White House tours for the public.

Instead of thinking about the money, let's think about the hidden message, here. If you are a taxpayer, this sends a troubling message. We are no longer permitted to visit (a portion of) the home of the person who is ultimately responsible for cutting the funding for us to do this. Ironic!

I visited the White House in 1968. While it was not a life changing experience, it's sad that our children and grandchildren will not be able to enjoy this little bit of national civic pride.

How about this?  You guys want to save some money?  Sell the place!  That's right, sell the place and lease a condo in Florida!  You can get a great deal...in this economy.  Also you may consider cutting down on those $7 million vacations......

Why I Say No To Citgo

The American and Texas flags were flying at half staff, this morning at Citgo's Corpus Christi plant. This was to honor Hugo Chavez who died, yesterday.

The following is an e-mail from Citgo.............

Citgo is owned by a company which is owned by Petroleos de Venezuela,  the national oil company of Venezuela.

All of this is fine.  I'm simply saying that none of my money is going to a company that supports Chavez and is owned by thugs.

Oh, and the flag display was tacky.

Random Foto - Tori Ehinger

Tori Ehinger
This is a little unusual. If the story is true, a couple of years ago, Tori Ehinger went to the beach. Pictures were taken. The pictures made their way to the Internet and faster than you can say a very short word, she's an internet celebrity!

Checking her Facebook page, she claims to be a Nanny. She also claims to be in a relationship with a guy who's in the Marines. Makes you want to "sign up" right?

I know you're wondering. I have it on high authority that they're real.

Couple Celebrates 80 Years

I saw this "feel good" story and I wasn't sure if I should share it with you until I saw the picture(s)!

Robert and Virginia Gerald will be celebrating their 80th wedding anniversary on April 12. He's 97 and she's 95. They had 11 children, but they can't agree on whether they had 36 or 40 grandchildren.  Apparently, this is one of the few things on which they disagree.

Their advice for a long and happy marriage is to “be humble and have patience.”

Here's something else - it's the reason that I posted this story - the pictures. The picture on the left is said to be about 10 years old. It ran on the Charlotte Observer's website.  The picture on the right was run by a website called The Prevailing Ethos.
Robert and Virginia Gerald/Charlotte Observer

Robert and Virginia Gerald/The Prevailing Ethos

The Prevailing Ethos quoted The Observer, but used a different picture?

That's dumb! In an effort to avoid being dumb, I am using both pictures. Isn't modern journalism great!

Oh, and while I'm still here, Happy Anniversary Mr. and Mrs. Gerald!

Rumor: Leno OUT, Fallon IN?

Is Jay walking?
Is Jay Leno leaving the Tonight Show, again? The Hollywood Reporter had a recent story where they suggested that the 2013-2014 TV Season may be Leno's last. The same story speculates further that Jimmy Fallon will slide from 12:30 AM slot into the 11:35/10:35 PM Central time slot and take over the Tonight Show.

Jimmy Fallon

Leno is 63 and does OK in the ratings, but NBC understands that he won't be around forever, and that Fallon is ripe for a promotion which may keep him from jumping ship.

Remember, this is just speculation and if it does happen, it won't be for another 6 to 14 months... if it happens at all.

My opinion? It really doesn't matter. Nobody will ever be as good as Johnny Carson. He built the show - he WAS the show. The Tonight Show is a weak imitation of what it was in the '60s and '70s.

All Star Apprentice - March 3, NBC

Them, again?
I would like to think of NBC as the Deja Vu Television Network. Why? In part, because of shows like tomorrow's debut of "The All Star Apprentice." Didn't we see (or avoid seeing) this one, already? I think that Nielsen will prove that Celebrity Apprentice has "Jumped The Shark." It's time has come and has gone. Seeing celebrity "B listers" who are spoiled and who can't do normal things, really is no longer entertaining. At least not to me. This would a major presentation on a "cable network," but not on a major broadcast TV network.

We know why NBC is airing this show, don't we? Because, like it or not, Donald Trump is still a powerful man. He has a budget which he could easily take to another network. NBC wants to keep Trump happy. This way, they keep Miss Universe and whatever else the Donald comes up with. It's all about the money. You can't really blame NBC too much. Ya know, for a small amount of cash, I'd watch the show.

Facebook Facelift

Facebook facelift?
Facebook is at it again! The world's largest social media site announced this week that they will be making chances to their (our) newsfeed page.

The newsfeed page is where we see what our friends have been up to. Before we panic, please consider that the Facebook folks are trying to improve things. Why? Money, honey! They are a publicly traded company. A little bit of positive excitement could increase the value of their stock! Good for them. What about us?

We don't know exactly what they have up their sleeve. The adjoining picture is a possible/partial preview. We may be able to customize our view of our newsfeed page. If we can see more information at a glance, that's a good thing, right? This is similar to my decision to switch this blog's format to the "dynamic" version. You have the option of viewing this thing in a variety of formats. Look to the upper left, where it probably says "classic." Hover over "classic" and a menu will offer you other options. I prefer "classic" so you may see the entire script of my post. You may prefer the flipcard view or the magazine or timeline. I think it's cool to offer you a choice. Visits to this blog have increased since I made the change in January. I am nearing 1 million hits. More on that within the next 60 days.

In the meantime, keep an eye out for Facebook's newsfeed facelift. It's coming as early as Friday, March 8.
