I have no patience for politicians who openly lie about themselves. Recently I wrote about a Democrat candidate for senator from Connecticut. Today, it's a Republican - Mark Kirk of Illinois. He's a U.S Representative who is seeking the U.S. Senate seat which was held by Obama. Kirk's been saying that when he was in the Navy he was named "Naval Intelligence Officer Of The Year." Nope - never happened. The sad thing is that he is probably the better of the two candidates. It's sad when politicians start lying before they are elected.
Guys, please get it straight!
- Before you are elected, you are supposed to make lottsa promises.
- After you get elected you can lie all you want.
That's how it's done!

General, please note that he has also claimed to have been an Iraqi Freedom veteran in the past without having ever put his boots on the ground in the country.
He claimed to have earned that award for "combat service in Kosovo," but has no ribbon or device which would signify he saw combat.
He claims to have "deployed" to Afghanistan--which would be a mobilization for a Reservist--when he clearly spent his AT periods there, three weeks at a time.
He's a serial liar, claiming recognition for service he never performed and inflating the service he did.
