This is a picture of the simple process of filming Jackie, the third in a series of lions used by Goldwyn Studios and later MGM.
The Goldwyn logo was designed by Howard Dietz, who included a lion as a tribute to his alma mater, Columbia University, whose athletic teams were nicknamed the Lions.
Jackie was used by MGM on black and white films from 1929 through 1956.
