Phil Everly Dies at 74

Sad news. Phil Everly died Friday. Phil was 74. The Everly Brothers, Phil and Don, were Rock & Roll pioneers. In the beginning, they were together for 5 years and had 19 top 40 hits. They are in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. The Beatles once referred to themselves as "The English Everly Brothers." I got to see Phil & Don in 1968 at the Latin Quarter Night Club in New York City. These two would sing into one microphone and would each be playing guitars. The harmonizing was amazing. They were good.

Phil died in a Beverly Hills hospital of heart complications.
