Payne & The Princess

This is something that you don't hear about very often. That's probably because it probably doesn't happen very often. Adreian Payne and Lacey Holsworth met two years ago. He's a star on the Michigan State basketball team. She's an 8 year old with Neuroblastoma, a rare form of nerve Cancer.

Two years ago Adreian visited Lacey, in the hospital.  The two have become close friends, like "brother & sister."  They text daily. She attends his games and he attended a recent fund raiser for her.

Lacey is still a very sick little girl with a life-threatening disease. It's nice to see a big time college jock offering his concern and his friendship...like this. There ARE some things that are more important than sports...even more important than the NCAA Tournament.
