In a brief statement, U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner of the 9th District of New York resigned. This was coming after a sexting scandal. I should point out that he was more than 15 minutes late for a news conference that he scheduled for 2PM. Such tardiness is a pompous expression of disregard of others. This, of course is my opinion and is the least of his flaws. It should also be pointed out that his wife was not at his side.
So Weiner becomes a minor footnote and an obscure trivia answer.
