The New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission has plans pending to require a new dress code for taxi drivers. The group wants a more "professional look."
Current rules prohibit tube shirts, tank tops and bathing trunks. The new rules are vague, not mentioning any type of apparel.
This is all very nice. What we really need is someone who speaks English (clearly), a clean cab, and more honest drivers who won't charge $200 for a four mile trip to the airport.
