Helen Thomas spoke on Thursday at a conference at Wayne State University. Helen Thomas is a retired reporter who has covered the White House since the time of Andrew Jackson.
As usual, she said some things that may not sit well with Jewish people.
The General quotes:
Congress, the White House and Hollywood, Wall Street are owned by the Zionists. No question, in my opinion," she said. "They put their money where their mouth is. ... We're being pushed into a wrong direction in every way."
The comments were made at a state supported university, supported by the taxes paid by Jewish and non Jewish taxpayers. Is she right or is she wrong? Partly right? Partly wrong? Her comments are meant to make you THINK! University students are supposed to think, right?
Note that she said that she was offering her opinion. If Wayne State University did not want to hear her opinion, then why did they invite her, in the first place?
Here's why. Wayne State University gives a "diversity award" named after Helen Thomas.
The school has since discontinued the award.
