Starbucks Coffee has a new logo. Looking at the picture, you'll see that the words have been eliminated from the new logo. Some people think that this was done so the company can concentrtate on the food being offered at Starbucks.
Not so.
The reason why the words have been eliminated is so the logo can become free! That's right, free to be recognized for what it is -- with no words. Words simply slow the recognition process. Also, in diferent countries, why would you want to use different words to describe the same product?
Sound far fetched? It's really quite common...
