General Tom Gets An Idea!

Wow! I just got an idea! It happened a few minutes ago, on my back porch as I stepped out for a smoke, while sipping on my Samuel Adams Boston Lager.

Earlier, the TV had been on and I saw one of the endless political ads which have been assaulting our collective intelligence and trying us with a continuous waterfall of half truths.

Well anyway, I see this TV ad for a businessman who is running for U.S. Congress. He is successful with humble beginnings. He's running against a strong incumbent.  Our business buddy is going to lose. Why is this happening? There is a better place for this guy!

Let's review:  We have a successful businessman with a slim chance of being elected to Congress...where, if he wins and gets in, nobody will will listen to him, anyway.

This guy should be teaching business classes!  I talk with business people, everyday, who don't have a clue!  I talk with people who are opening new businesses with no advertising budget...none at all!  I see business owners who work 10 hours a week (or less) and they pay their inexperienced managers $10 an hour...and they wonder why their businesses fail?

Oh, and when these businesses fail, their debts go unpaid and real people get hurt.

There may be a few self-made millionaires who teach at the University level, but I've been through the local university and never met any.
