Grizzlies Draft 8 Yr. Old Boy

The Memphis Grizzlies of the National Basketball Association announced today that they have drafted an 8 year old boy! Young Charvis Brewer became the youngest person ever to be drafted by an NBA team. The boy’s wish was fulfilled by his local branch of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

He has cerebral palsy and is confined to a wheelchair.
Charvis’ draft day started with a surprise visit by star player Mike Conley and the team’s play-by-play announcer, Pete Pranica. The boy then signed his NBA contract, got a tour of the locker room and attended a practice with the team. The boy and his family were also guests at the Grizzlies game, Monday against the Bulls.

Nice story. The Grizzlies made a young boy very happy. They "hit a home run!"
