Richard Sherman: IDIOT

I was pulling for Seattle to beat San Francisco in the National Conference Championship game. In the closing seconds of the game, it looked like the 49ers might have a touchdown on a pass that wound up being deflected by Seattle Cornerback Richard Sherman. He deflected the ball in the direction of a teammate who intercepted the pass. Game over! Seconds later, Sherman is called on a "Taunting penalty." The penalty was meaningless as Seattle won the game. During the postgame, Fox reporter Erin Andrews interviews the "hero." She asked him to "take us through the play." Here is his response, "Well, I'm the best corner in the game... when you try me with a sorry receiver like Crabtree, that's the result you’re going to get. Don't you ever talk about me...don't you open your mouth about the best—or I'm going to shut it for you real quick." (End of interview) Yes, it was loud on the field and Sherman was yelling in a very hateful and threatening manner during the interview. Yes, Crabtree was trash talking Sherman prior to the game. That's no excuse. Adults don't act like this! (Even adult jocks.)  Richard Sherman is an idiot. Don't look for any live interviews with him anytime soon.
