Woman sues over use of mug shot

If you spend much time on-line, you'll recognize the adjoining picture. She's Meagan Simmons, a 28 year old mother of four from Zephyr Hills, Flordia who was arrested on a DUI charge.

She's suing instantcheckmate.com for using her image "for financial gain. From there, Meagan's mug went viral on meme sites.  This is happening without any compensation for Meagan.

Her attorney says that it's the same as using a celebrity's image to promote a brand without permission. Look for an out of court settlement...with no pictures.
