NFL Picks ~ Week 16, 2020

Last week was a step in the right direction!  I went 10 & 6.  Not bad when you consider that I didn't expect Cincinnati to beat Pittsburgh or the Jets to get their first win of the season against the Rams.  I mentioned last week about a couple of rants that I have concerning the NFL.  First, it's the occasional (or frequent) lack of sportsmanship on the part of defensive players.  Guys, it's ok to make a tackle.  That's what you are being paid to do.  We expect it, but that's enough.  You don't have to act like a blood thirsty animal-in-the-wild when you're done.  A clean tackle is enough, thank you.

Second is with the networks.  You are all guilty of this.  Visually, you may want to heed the 180 degree rule.  This is basically keeping your cameras' coverage from a perspective from one side of the field without switching to a camera on the other side of the field.  When the 180 rule is broken, the offense seems to be going in the opposite direction.  This is disorienting and sloppy.  Please don't do it.

Third, players; when you miss a tackle or screw up in any way, please don't fake an injury.  This really makes you look doubly bad, not to mention stupid.  I am sure that there is a lot of pain involved in the game, but we aren't playing 5th grade youth football.

I can't wait to see the comments.
