NFL Picks - Week 1, 2014

This is the opening weekend of the 2014 NFL season. We, at the blog are almost excited to bring you another season of fearless predictions. It's been our experience that most of these predictions are "right on the money!" The problem is that often the teams screw it up for us, by losing - making the predictions look bad. You must realize that we (at the blog) don't win or LOSE the games. It's the millionaires on the field. It's a situation where we love the game, but some of the players......well some of them should be sitting on their front porches waiting for the mailman to bring them their monthly checks.

NFL Picks - Week 6, 2013

I checked my stats and the Number 1, most viewed post, during the past week was my "Picks for Week 5." Go figure?

For Week 5, I was 9 & 5. This brings my season total to 45 & 32.

I see that there are still some winless teams in the league.  That will change this week for some of them, but probably not for all.

NFL Picks - Week 7, 2012

I think that we are at the point in the NFL season where I'm wondering if I should waste my time doing this, at all. Last week, I went 6 & 7. There were several close games and at lease one collapse. For some reason, San Diego and Kansas City are two teams that are hard to figure out. Fortunately, neither is playing on Sunday. Unfortunately there are several good teams playing good teams and bad teams playing bad teams.  I will be attending the Cleveland/Indianapolis game.

NFL Picks, Week 6, 2012

Yes, I know that 60%+ of my readers live outside the United States. You know, places where the NFL has little or no meaning. Well, if for no other reason more than enhancing the American flavor of this blog, I will continue to guess on the outcome of the coming weekend of NFL games.

 If you have been keeping track, last week was a good one for me. I picked 11 winners out of 14 games! This puts my season total at a less impressive 44 & 33.

Last week, I got lucky and picked 10 games correctly out of 16. This keeps me slightly above 50-50 on the season. I'd also like to point out that each division in the NFL has at least two teams tied for first place. This is quite unusual, especially at this point in the season.

I'll have to check with my accountant for the actual numbers. If I am not "picking" your team to win, don't be discouraged - roughly half of my predictions will be wrong!
