Dennis Hopper finally got his "star" on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, yesterday. He's 73, has prostate cancer and is in the middle of a messy divorce. Wow! At the ceremony he was surrounded by friends, colleagues and family. Good medicine for a guy who we've seen in more than 100 movies. He's probably best remembered for "Easy Rider." He wrote, directed and stared in that movie. Easy Rider has probably lost its meaning - in 1969 it was relevant. At yesterday's ceremony, one of his friends called Hopper, "One of the coolest guys in the world!" Despite the phony world of Tinseltown, I believe it.
