I always thought that Jose Canseco had a screw loose. I may be right!
Recently the former major league baseball player agreed to take part in a four round exhibition boxing match prior to a minor league baseball game. It was billed as the "Rock 'em Sock 'em Rumble by the River" at Dickey-Stephens Park before the Arkansas Travelers-Midland Rockhounds Triple-A baseball game.
Canseco's opponent was 60-year-old Gary Hogan, an associate athletic director at the University of Arkansas-Little Rock. Hogan weighed in at 191 pounds, 45 year old Canseco at 240. The decision went to Hogan 39-37.
Canseco was paid for the fight. I hear that the Roller Derby people are looking to make Jose an offer.
