In the wake of the Tucson Massacre, handgun sales in the U.S. are rising sharply.
The following figures are percentages of increases in handgun sales for January 10, 2011 vs. January 10, 2010:
Ohio +65%
Arizona +60%
Illinois +38%
New York +33
California +16
National average +5%
Reasons for this? Protection and/or fear of changing gun laws may be on the minds of gun buyers.
Maybe I'm missing something, here or maybe I'm lucky as I don't see myself needing a handgun.
