The holiday season is upon us. For the purpose of this story, we'll call it the Christmas Season.
Above, you see two separate pictures. (Click the image to view a larger picture) The one on the left comes to us from The American Atheists Organization. The sign appears at the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel at North Bergen, New Jersey for commuters to New York City. According to the Atheists' site, the ad is meant to raise awareness of atheism, encourage other non-believers to "come out of the closet." This sign went up a few weeks ago.
More recently, Catholics erected the sign that you see on the right. Commuters see it as they leave the tunnel and enter NYC.
I don't think either sign is effective...Christmas will go on as it always has. Shopping, parties and gifts. Do atheists do that stuff?
