Shuttle Program Ends

Shuttle's Swan Song
The NASA Space Shuttle Program ended this morning. Atlantis landed at Cape Canaveral. You might say that the Shuttle Program faded into the sunset at sunrise.

The program was expensive, but it was important in satisfying our human need to explore. It also provided products for our everyday use...solar power stuff, etc.

Thousands of our brightest scientists are jobless. Some will retire, others will find other jobs within the scientific community, some will go into teaching or consulting.

It's sad to think that the 47%+ of us who pay no Federal Income Tax will visit museums to see what we were once able to accomplish.
