Seahawks Ban Ticket Sales To California Residents

Century Link Field
Tickets for the Seattle Seahawks-San Francisco 49ers Conference Championship Game go on sale, Monday, January 13 at 10:00 am PST. Here is a quote lifted directly from the Seahawks website:

Tickets will be available to fans with a billing address in WA, OR, MT, ID, AK, HI and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia and Alberta. Fans can purchase tickets through Seahawks.com or by calling Ticketmaster at 800-745-3000. All NFC Championship Game tickets will be distributed via Ticketmaster's TicketFast online printing. Ticket availability is limited and expected to sell quickly.

If you have a California billing address, and you want to go to the game, you're SOL.  For some reason, California residents (likely to cheer for the 49ers) are not eligible for tickets.

What does this say about sportsmanship?  Perhaps we should ask the NFL?  Interstate Commerce Commission? California Attorney General?  I think that this policy is not right, unfair and shows a lack of class.  I'm ashamed to say that I picked the Seahawks to win the game.
